The Children’s Hearings System provides an operational setting in which SCRA and our partner agencies work. The aim is to provide a safety net for vulnerable children and deliver tailored solutions which meet the needs of the individuals involved, while helping to build stronger families and safer communities.
You will assist Reporters in the provision of a high-quality service to children and families by engaging effectively and with sensitivity to ensure that service users are fully informed and supported throughout the hearings system process.
The successful candidate will be qualified to HNC or SVQ Level 3 or be willing to work toward the qualification and able to demonstrate the skills and competencies required to provide the best service to children and families. You will also be able to demonstrate significant work experience with SCRA and/or knowledge of the operation of the children’s hearings system. In addition, you will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and experience working with a wide range of people, demonstrating integrity and respect for others.
Candidates will be expected to use digital technology to deliver virtual hearings using our secure virtual platform (training will be provided), as well as utilising digital technology within SCRA’s Hearings suites.

How to apply
Please save the application form together with the separate Inclusion & Diversity Monitoring form to your drive/desktop, fill in the relevant sections and then submit both to recruitment@scra.gov.uk.
