Thank you to everyone who joined us today for our Black History Month workshop, Where Are You Really From? Home, Identity, Belonging and the Communities That Made Us, led by Romain Muhammad.

The session encouraged meaningful reflection on identity, migration, belonging and the role communities play in shaping our experiences.

At SCRA, this learning supports our ongoing commitment to becoming an anti-racist organisation and creating a culture where everyone can feel they belong

Sarah Wood, SCRA’s Equality, Diversity & Inclusion and Learning Manager, said: “Black History Month provides an important opportunity to reflect, learn and celebrate the contributions of Black communities, but the conversations don’t end when the month is over.

“At SCRA, this work forms part of our ongoing commitment to becoming an anti-racist organisation through learning, policy development, research and action.

“Today’s workshop challenged us to think more deeply about identity, belonging and inclusion, and about the role we all play in creating a culture where everyone feels valued, respected and that they belong.”
