Celebrating Care Experienced History Month

Posted on 06th Apr 2021

In celebration of Care Experienced History Month, colleagues with lived experience of being in care are sharing their stories during April.

In September 2018, SCRA backed the Who Cares? Scotland campaign to make care experience the 10th protected characteristic.

Indiya Kurlus, SCRA’s Inclusion and Diversity Manager, said: “We value the unique insight of our care experienced staff and look forward to sharing their stories throughout Care Experienced History Month.

“Thank you to everyone for telling us about the impact and influence that being in care has had on their lives and careers.

The first story this month is by Sophie, one of our former Modern Apprentices. Click here to read more.
