Going to a Children’s Hearing? Did you know you can get an advocate to help and support you?

Free advocacy support for children and young people attending Children’s Hearings is now available no matter where you live in Scotland.

A new website has been launched today which gives you more information about what is an advocate, how they can help you and where you can access one.

Jennifer Orren, SCRA’s Participation Officer, said: “We are absolutely delighted to support and promote advocacy services for children and young people attending Children’s Hearings.

“The new website is a great way to find out more information about advocacy and how it can help children and young people reflect their views, understand the process and participate in their Hearing.”

To find out about your rights in a Children’s Hearing, visit the children or young people sections of our website.

If you have any questions before your Hearing, please contact your Reporter – their contact details will be on the letter sent to you about your Hearing.
