£19,046 – £19,533 (pro-rata)
Islands Allowance £1,539 (pro-rata)
The Children’s Hearings System provides the operational setting in which SCRA and our partner agencies work. The aim is to provide a safety net for vulnerable children and deliver tailored solutions which meet the needs of the individuals involved, while helping to build stronger families and safer communities.
Support Assistant (Reception) is a key member of our Reception Support Services Team. As the first point of contact for all visitors to our office, you will provide a warm reception for children, their families and all other persons attending hearings, as well as liaising with a variety of our partners including social workers, police and teachers. You will also provide general clerical support including processing paper and electronic mail/documents, photocopying and filing.
The skills you will require in this post are the sensitivity to deal with people from all backgrounds warmly and effectively, and sound administrative and digital skills.
SCRA provides Children’s Hearings on a face to face, virtual and hybrid basis (with some people attending virtually and physically) and candidates should be able to use digital technology to deliver virtual hearings using our secure virtual platform (training will be provided), as well as utilising digital technology within SCRA’s Hearings suites.
